Celebrating another year of my Life...

You know I always love lists. I make them all the time..even in the posts. i start out work not every morning..haha! but I'll definately do it when i got a very hectic schedule..& so many things to do in a day... Now whether I actually cross out everything on that list by the end of the day, that's a whole different matter.
And yes, I make a list of things to do at the start of each year..hehe....but it's processed & stored in my brain... no more paper..at this moment i saved the tree pulp! My 2009 list went something like this :
1) try to attend all the usrah, as well as to commit & responsible to usrah which under my responsibility.
2) study??? enjoy it..!!
3) Meet my old friends at least once a year
4) have a holiday vacation that can ease my body & soul....
5) try to be concern in everything,....even if I'm not able to grab it!
long list to go.... but the 1st item... i'm doing my best...but there's always room for improvement... about 2nd item... sometimes i did enjoyed studied..but most of the times i'd stressed...haha! but i think this semester will promise something new & memorable! the other items...I'll eventually get to them.
so what about the 2010 list??? emmm....i'm still thinking about it.. i'll share with all of you later...
My birthday was on 19th November... i rarely celebrating my birthday...but i always love to hear wishes from my friends... so the last birthday... my sis surprised me with a birthday & that was when i'm in my hometown... But...she thought I'm already 23 but actually i'm juz 1 year younger which is 22 years old.... guess what she did???
oh noo...sis! i'm juz 22..i noe i'm look a bit older than my age..but plzzz...i'm 22!so...i re-decorated the cake.... anyway, the cake taste really nice..& most importantly, it's packed with chocolate!! yeeehaaa...

i'm back!!! Holiday story!

salamualay'kum sahabat....

like always..i don't know how to start the post... esp. when i left it for sooo long... it's not that i want it to be that way..but the situations brought me to this... 1stly, my laptop also had the 'menstrual cycle' every semester.. so i did the reformating... & 2ndly, when you are too busy with your study..you don't have time to think about other things...like blogging..playing...et. cetera... 3rd, i'm seriously don't know what else i can share with all of you in this blog...like the ideas was trapped somewhere in my brain...hehe!
so! currently am doing my clinical attachment in PPUKM for two weeks... & will continue the special units attachment afterward in HKL... huuu..
okay... i'll tell you a little bit about my holiday.... for me..that's the best holiday that i ever had...

be with my parent for merely three weeks.... went to my sis house in kuantan for almost 1 week just to baby-sit my nephews... & back to KL for trips!!
It's not in an actual plan...but we managed to set our steps in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah for 4 days... am not climbing the Mount kinabalu for sure... but we managed to go to Manukan Island...by boat... it will take around 10-15 minutes from KK Jetty... it's the 2nd largest of five tropical islands of Tunku Abdul Rahman Park... it's offer beautiful... pristine coral reef off the beach with its colourful marine life. we also went to the local markets which offer unique handicrafts as well as sea products... what i can suggest here is...if you really plan to go to any place that you're not familiar with... do plan well... & it's better if you have your travel guide...
not much i can say about my trip to KK..but back to peninsular... the day after i arrived... my siblings & I dashed to Cameron Highland... i think most people already went there...but not me...huhu! so that's my 1'st time... I'm glad to be there... at least I can enjoy the views with my own eyes & feel the cold breeze... everything is beautiful... the mountain of tea trees...the flowers..& the freshnessssss of fruits esp. strawberries & vegies... I dropped my mouth everytime i went to the markets & the farms... i love fruits & vegies... that's what a dietitian shud do!
we spent about 2 days in Cameron Highland... & i thought the trip will end...but you know what? we straight away..went to Lumut..for the next trip..which would be Pangkor Island... it's not in our plan of course..so..we end up wearing the same clothes..which a bit smelly... haha! & bought new clothes then... the worst thing is we don't book for any hotel/apartment to stay.. & all were occupied... Luckily, we managed to get a Pent house...it's soooo big...& expensive...but we have no choice.. so we stayed there for one night & the next morning we went to Pangkor Island by ferry... there we just shopping for clothes, seafoods & enjoy the scenary... it's really beautiful but since it holidays..the beach was crowded with peoples & it's doesn't feel so good...
so ALWAYS PLAN FOR EVERYTHING!!

the trips ended in Pangkor Island... we drove back to KL.. nice memories...indeed!
i am the sea warrior..yee haa! nice catch!

the shops... crowded with variety of seafoods product...as well as peoples! (look how gloomy harraz's face)

sis...plzz don't hug me... i'm trying to act cool here....

welcome to pulau pangkor....

Pangkor Island jetty...

in front of penthouse....

on the way to Lumut, Perak... just went down d hill from cameron..

enjoy the sweeet n a bit sour of strawberries...

in the tea house... nice view...

2 little kids playing in the bush...

ohhh plzzz...i can't bear the cuteness....

plzzz...don't force me... (look at his papa's hand...pushing his head juz to have a shot!)

fiuhh... ????

Salamua'laykum....
Friends.. guess what? It's holiday!!! but yet so many things to do...
Actually, the holiday started on 5th November...but i assumed it isn't a real holiday since there's some nightmare left... We had been informed that some students will have to continue (softer word for reassess )the clinical attachments.. & that's totally freaking all the students esp. me... who are not giving the ultimate performance either in practical or in exam... huhu!

so... the day of our last exam... we were surprised that some of the students received the letter from our lecturer right after the examination finished... & since I'm one of the student that went out of the exam hall earlier... so i guess lecturer will catch with me later.. But luckily.. am not in & that's absolutely beyond my expectation...
However..the nightmare wasn't end yet.. since there will be another list will come out on 13th November... so scary..I'd wait for few days...& the butterfly always be in my stomach since then...
the butterfly flew away... after the list came out..& again..my name was not listed... wuuu! This might be not a big deal for some students but for me it means a lot..
Initially, we had been informed that the student involved will be reached via phone call & not by letter or stuff like that... so.. can u imagine that.. you'll know your result that way.. it seems like waiting for death call or do you still remember 'One misscalled' or 'the Phone' movies?? ~~freaky! we even made jokes with it... let say if you gonna received 'that' call..what are you going to do? or maybe you have to prepare the scripts like:

Caller : Hello..can i speak to (student name)?
student : Sorry..wrong number..
or : Hello... Pest control services.. what can i help you?
or : Sorry... i can't hear you... can u speak a bit a louder.. the line is KO!
or : We noo... buenas noches? como estas?
or maybe u can sing a song like the 'caller ringtone' (pick your own song).
or celcom/maxis/digi operator : Hello..Celcom centre.. bla..blaa..blaaah

or any other suggestions? But of course this things won't happen..
back to holiday... Currently, i'm still in Kuala Lumpur and staying at my sister's house.. i wanna go back to my hometown, kelantan as soon as possible.. i juz can't wait any longer.. huuu..
am gonna have few works to settle.. 1stly, the scouter things which i'm one of the volunteer to help a research, 2ndly, I'd been asked to be a personal tutor for a SPM candidate... 3rdly, my sister who's staying at kuantan pleaded me to take care of her sons for a week..Nanny??? 4th: wedding plan maybe..haha! whatever it is..i'm looking forward for the experiences..it must be a great adventure!

so...friends... i'm sure..some of you also on holiday like me..so let's together spend our time for something really beneficial... yosh!!

Why should we eat healthily?

Nowadays, healthy eating become a great topic to discuss which is due to escalating trend of diseases closely related to improper food intakes along with sedentary lifestyle.
According to The National Health Morbidity Survey data revealed that in adults, 20.7% were overweight & 5.8% obese, the prevalence of obesity was clearly greater in women than in men. In this survey also concluded that, obesity rates were higher in Indian & Malay women than in Chinese women. While, surprisingly the Chinese men recorded highest obesity prevalence followed by Malay & Indians. Hence, current nutrition & health surveys reveal that Malaysians are already affected by western health problems. Moreover, the escalation of obesity, once thought to be an urban phenomenon, has now spread to rural population at an alarming rate.

Sounds freaky isn't it? but not as freaky as what happened in US population which 2/3 of its population were overweight & obese. As Malaysia proceeds toward greater economic development, we also move to 'greater' sizes of clothes sold in market.. no way!
so back to the topic? why the concern? Obesity is just the tip of an iceberg.. the underlying problems or the complications of this problem are the things that need to take into account..
Obesity will cause physical & psychologic complications like heart disease, type 2 Diabetes Mellitus, Hypertension, stroke, certain types of cancer(endometrial, breast, prostate & colon), dyslipidemia, reduced fertility, osteoarthritis, emotional distress, discrimination, social stigmatization & the list will go on....fiuuuh!
haha...so are we gonna choose one of the disease above??? like we can...
The health problems will definitely cause greater healthcare cost.. the more sick people the more beds needed in hospital.. can i say? the more job vacancies...hehe! The doctor will be super-rich.. as well as the food manufacturers... but at the end we can have problem like poor workforce or productivity~~~~ slower economic growth... huh! so complicated!!
Thus, whether we like it or not.. we have to eat healthily..no matter how hard it takes..

Eat healthily is not just for prevention of the diseases but also in preventing complications & slowing the progression of the diseases in people who already have it...

All the best to all students!!

All the best to all university students esp. UKMKLian... whom gonna sit for the final examinations!

i'd started my final exams weeks ago..but still have another 4 papers coming... so do pray for me too!!

we know it's a very stressful period..but whether we want it or not.. we still have to go thru it! absolutely!

some of us might applied 'last-minute' study method... & some might study a little earlier or we called it 'continuous study'.... n we can also find people who applied both! haha...

any study methods applied..has the pros & cons... & whatever it is we still have to struggle to get the best result...

what's more important is??? to pray for the best...& to believe that Allah s.w.t will determine what's best for us.....

maybe having good results is the best thing for us.. but if it's otherwise...it;s still remain the best for us as well... we might not find the benefits now..but we will find it later on... insyaAllah!

to junior... esp. 1st year... this might be your 1st final exams.. n of course..you'll feel a bit nervous.. but don;t worry..grab this 1st oppurtunity to have the best result..which you might not know if u still can have it later on...

& for the final-year students (me too)... we might get used to exam sensation.. till we dun really feel the burden....but still..we need to struggle really hard..till the very end! (This advice..fit me really well)...

so! yosh!!! study!!! all the best to all n me!

The best reminder..!

sharing is caring.... i found this video last year..when i'm crazily downloaded all the super-nice nasheed videos in you-tube...

most people will love music...& here is a very soothing nasheed..that will melt your heart...

sometimes, the reminders or tazkirah..we might not get it from others..but we can always find it elsewhere...if we try..insyaAllah!

The end of another stressful day...

Alhamdulillah... that's the best word that i can say right now to express my feelings... Guess what? Mission accomplished! i'd finished my clinical exam....which is really tough... I managed to settle the case presentations.. & what else... i'm able to rest peacefully for a week!!

However...there's still a tonne of things to do... chiefly for the next examinations which would be on 28th Oct till 4th Nov.. it won't bother me..though...

There's another thing bother me..this week..maybe... i guess all of u did read the newspaper... watched news..& mybe browsed the internet news... about 3 years old girl, Aaliyah ayman Hussin Abdullah..who had been killed by her mother's boyfriend (a 24 years old Sudanese)! I really dun have any idea on what's going on with this people... both are muslim..but yet acting like they don't know anything about it... The mother can allow such violence toward her own child.. & even conspired with the boyfriend to cover the crime! She's more demonic than her boyfriend.... r u agree??? The Sudanese killed the little girl savagely..that's a big crime indeed... and why?? coz he cannot control the lust or can i say..'his animal behaviour'... which made him acted beyond sanity...
whatever it is... let's pray to Allah s.w.t... to give us protection from the mischief'!

In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful.
1. Say: I seek refuge with the Lord of the Dawn
2. From the mischief of created things;
3. From the mischief of Darkness as it overspreads;
4. From the mischief of those who practise secret arts;
5. And from the mischief of the envious one as he practises envy (Sura Al-Falaq)
