Why should we eat healthily?

Nowadays, healthy eating become a great topic to discuss which is due to escalating trend of diseases closely related to improper food intakes along with sedentary lifestyle.
According to The National Health Morbidity Survey data revealed that in adults, 20.7% were overweight & 5.8% obese, the prevalence of obesity was clearly greater in women than in men. In this survey also concluded that, obesity rates were higher in Indian & Malay women than in Chinese women. While, surprisingly the Chinese men recorded highest obesity prevalence followed by Malay & Indians. Hence, current nutrition & health surveys reveal that Malaysians are already affected by western health problems. Moreover, the escalation of obesity, once thought to be an urban phenomenon, has now spread to rural population at an alarming rate.

Sounds freaky isn't it? but not as freaky as what happened in US population which 2/3 of its population were overweight & obese. As Malaysia proceeds toward greater economic development, we also move to 'greater' sizes of clothes sold in market.. no way!
so back to the topic? why the concern? Obesity is just the tip of an iceberg.. the underlying problems or the complications of this problem are the things that need to take into account..
Obesity will cause physical & psychologic complications like heart disease, type 2 Diabetes Mellitus, Hypertension, stroke, certain types of cancer(endometrial, breast,prostate & colon), dyslipidemia, reduced fertility, osteoarthritis, emotional distress, discrimination, social stigmatization & the list will go on....fiuuuh!
haha...so are we gonna choose one of the disease above??? like we can...
The health problems will definitely cause greater healthcare cost.. the more sick people the more beds needed in hospital.. can i say? the more job vacancies...hehe! The doctor will be super-rich.. as well as the food manufacturers... but at the end we can have problem like poor workforce or productivity~~~~ slower economic growth... huh! so complicated!!
Thus, whether we like it or not.. we have to eat healthily..no matter how hard it takes..

Eat healthily is not just for prevention of the diseases but also in preventing complications & slowing the progression of the diseases in people who already have it...

All the best to all students!!

All the best to all university students esp. UKMKLian... whom gonna sit for the final examinations!

i'd started my final exams weeks ago..but still have another 4 papers coming... so do pray for me too!!

we know it's a very stressful period..but whether we want it or not.. we still have to go thru it! absolutely!

some of us might applied 'last-minute' study method... & some might study a little earlier or we called it 'continuous study'.... n we can also find people who applied both! haha...

any study methods applied..has the pros & cons... & whatever it is we still have to struggle to get the best result...

what's more important is??? to pray for the best...& to believe that Allah s.w.t will determine what's best for us.....

maybe having good results is the best thing for us.. but if it's otherwise...it;s still remain the best for us as well... we might not find the benefits now..but we will find it later on... insyaAllah!

to junior... esp. 1st year... this might be your 1st final exams.. n of course..you'll feel a bit nervous.. but don;t worry..grab this 1st oppurtunity to have the best result..which you might not know if u still can have it later on...

& for the final-year students (me too)... we might get used to exam sensation.. till we dun really feel the burden....but still..we need to struggle really hard..till the very end! (This advice..fit me really well)...

so! yosh!!! study!!! all the best to all n me!

The best reminder..!

video

sharing is caring.... i found this video last year..when i'm crazily downloaded all the super-nice nasheed videos in you-tube...

most people will love music...& here is a very soothing nasheed..that will melt your heart...

sometimes, the reminders or tazkirah..we might not get it from others..but we can always find it elsewhere...if we try..insyaAllah!

The end of another stressful day...

Alhamdulillah... that's the best word that i can say right now to express my feelings... Guess what? Mission accomplished! i'd finished my clinical exam....which is really tough... I managed to settle the case presentations.. & what else... i'm able to rest peacefully for a week!!

However...there's still a tonne of things to do... chiefly for the next examinations which would be on 28th Oct till 4th Nov.. it won't bother me..though...

There's another thing bother me..this week..maybe... i guess all of u did read the newspaper... watched news..& mybe browsed the internet news... about 3 years old girl, Aaliyah ayman Hussin Abdullah..who had been killed by her mother's boyfriend (a 24 years old Sudanese)! I really dun have any idea on what's going on with this people... both are muslim..but yet acting like they don't know anything about it... The mother can allow such violence toward her own child.. & even conspired with the boyfriend to cover the crime! She's more demonic than her boyfriend.... r u agree??? The Sudanese killed the little girl savagely..that's a big crime indeed... and why?? coz he cannot control the lust or can i say..'his animal behaviour'... which made him acted beyond sanity...
whatever it is... let's pray to Allah s.w.t... to give us protection from the mischief'!

In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful.
1. Say: I seek refuge with the Lord of the Dawn
2. From the mischief of created things;
3. From the mischief of Darkness as it overspreads;
4. From the mischief of those who practise secret arts;
5. And from the mischief of the envious one as he practises envy (Sura Al-Falaq)
